The Soapbox Theatre is home to Stiltskin Arts & Theatre CIC. This year we celebrate 20 years of making projects for with and by children and young people. Check out how you can join in the fun.

Jack and the Beanstalk

Are you studying traditional tales this year? Our version of Jack and the Beanstalk helps to bring to life this wonderful story for all. With puppets, giants, slap stick humour and even a bean stalk that talks this is a great show for foundation upwards.

School week 10th - 13th June 2020.

Contact us to find out how to book.

WW2 week 2nd - 6th November

This is one of our most popular projects for schools. Join us for a great experiential learning workshop where children get the opportunity to find out about what life was like in Plymouth during the Blitz. Meet two characters with their story to tell, experience an Anderson Shelter built in the theatre, drink hot chocolate, dance together and create your very own performance poems. Great fun to be had by all. We will be opening later this year.

Workshops at the Theatre

We run all sorts of exciting workshops from art projects, puppet making, drama and circus skills for children of all ages at the Soapbox. As we are based in the park we can go outside for inspiration as well.

Come and see a show

You can book the theatre for any show, either special group bookings or you can book the whole theatre for up to 80 children. We do shows for a range of ages including our Discover Shakespeare shows that are specially adapted for children and young people.
