Who are Stiltskin?

The core members of Stiltskin are Iain Slade and Jacqueline Ball, who are both Equity members. On occasions, they collaborate with other artists from other disciplines.

Iain has worked as a circus practitioner for the past 10 years and is the founding member of The Rushin' State Community Circus. He has just completed a BA (Hons) in Visual Performance at Dartington College of Arts.

Jacqueline trained in Theatre Design at Wimbledon College of Art. She  has since found that her skill and passion has lead her to become a performer as well as a visual artist. She has recently returned from Ghana, West Africa, after working as scheme artist for Raleigh International.

They are both currently studying for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education at Plymouth University. Their teaching practice is based at The Plymouth College of Art and Design, where they are developing a series of animated art history lectures.

How long have Stiltskin been working together?

Jacqueline and Iain first met whilst working for The Barbican Theatre five years ago. Very soon after, they were collaborating together on a street performance commission, called the Odd Couple, funded by Plymouth City Council. Since then, they have not stopped growing and developing ideas for their collaborative practice.
